Moshi Monsters

February 12th, 2010

Moshi Monsters is a site where kids can adopt their very own pet monster. The site allows kids to join up with friends, make new friends and send messages. With each monster you get a room that you can decorate with all sorts of items that you can win while you’re playing games and doing puzzles, or buy with your Moshi Monster currency, Rox.Moshi Monsters

As you play games you can collect Rox which are also needed for when you need to buy food for your monster. As well as enjoying yourself with all the games available you still have to make sure that your monster is happy and healthy. With your Rox you can buy new clothes for your monster to make sure it is looking its best.
With each Moshi Monster you can decorate their room with lots of furniture and if you have enough Rox you can create extra rooms.

Moshi Monsters is free to join but you can also sign up for membership at £29.95 for the year which gives you and your monster access to higher levels and different areas on the map. You can even get your monsters some pets to keep them entertained.

It has a really easy to use interface and a really great fun design. It provides a safe environment for kids and teaches them the value of needing Rox to get better things, and to work hard on the games and puzzles to go to the next level.

The Perfect Gift for Kids this Summer

June 19th, 2009

These days? kids are getting more and more difficult to buy for as they move away from traditional toys and games and get hooked on the internet and gaming. It?s amazing to see young kids these days as they have grown up with computers and the internet and show no fear, just a whole lot of interest and the need for more information.

So what do you get kids who have everything? Well have you ever thought about t-shirt printing? It?s such a unique way to give a child a gift that isn?t something boring from the toy shop. These days the t-shirt printing companies can do a whole host of things with a plain t-shirt and with a simple design or a simple message, which can really make the gift special.

There are lots of t-shirt printing companies on the web these days and many of them have similar functionality where you can choose the shirt and the sizes that you need, and then you can upload your design to the site. The cost of having personalised t-shirts printed is cheaper than you might think and it?s a great idea for kids parties where you might be wanting a certain theme or a cool gift for the goodie bag.

The Design Of Childrens Technology

July 16th, 2008
Not a new book by any means but the Design of children’s technology by Allison Druin who is a leading authority in this particular field brings together even the most recent technology developments for children.
Within the book are case studies, a look into commercial products for children and academic research products too. The most interesting perspective is the book’s look at trends and computer technologies for children.
For a childrens technology book that was produced back in 1998 it still continues to ais researches of childrens technology and gives inspiring approches to the creation of such technology for children.

Technology For Kids

July 16th, 2008

New technology is being released on a daily basis. Consumers are in effect getting younger and younger. Even if kids do not have the funds to purchase such technology their powers of persuasion with parents are great. Parents often give in to such technology purchases for kids because they also think the item is “cool”.

There are so many technology items to choose from for the younger age groups, such as virtual pets, video games. The Bionic eye for example has been a huge seller in the states recently, primarily because children find this technology engaging. The Bionic eye is basically a magnification tool in the form of a giant eyeball that is then plugged into a TV video input. As an educational tool the Bionic Eye is proving popular as it makes children explore what is around them.

Child Safety Internet Browsers

July 15th, 2008

In the ever growing Internet age parents must do more to protect their child safety online. The popularity of social networking sites such as Facebook means younger people are sharing more and more of their personal details online. Unique internet products such as netnanny allow parents to impose limitations to their children’s online surfing activity, this includes limiting access to pornography and gambling websites such as online casino.

Child safe browsers also give the ability to strip away the complexity of Internet browsing, pop ups can be blocked and page opening can be restricted. The promotion of educational browsing for children can in fact come into the fore, parents themselves will even find such child safe browsing beneficial.
